Our Journey

Welcome to Black Label Apparel. We love to design and we love Northeast Ohio.

Six years ago, we started with a simple idea: Come up with really cool apparel designs for Lakewood. Designs that people would be proud to wear around town. “Hyper-Local” Wear.

With a small investment in inventory and 4 designs at a local Christmas show, we were onto something. The response from the community was overwhelming.

“We need more of this.”

So we kept going. We kept designing. We kept meeting more Lakewoodites and Clevelanders. We kept learning new things like how to screen print ourselves.

And now we are sharing this hyper-local idea with other communities. Akron was a must; we grew up there and love it as much as Lakewood. Cleveland, Parma and Shaker Heights also hold a special place in our heart. And there will be many more neighborhoods added along the way, no doubt.
